Don't blame CBJ holding out for more, centers are harder to acquire and I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that there's more pressure in Edmonton than in Columbus right now, despite both teams struggling.

Guess we'll see if Mac T pays the price or sticks with the 1-1 deal.

The deal is not going to get done, in fact its over and both sides of the table have moved on, one thing I like about MacT is he shoots for fair value in a trade or moves on, but alot of the time that can lead to not making deals. Either way the season is a write off, so I am guessing the Oilers will wait it out, fire people if need be. Playing that way got them Perron in the first place. Mac held out on draft day last year, and picked up Perron a few weeks later. The downside Mac didnt pull the trigger to his draft pick and marty for
Schneider, and lost out on him.

I dont know for sure, but it comes down to why I am really good at poker, and make a living off of it. You can take small amount of information, that makes it self out to the mass threw the media, analysis it, look at all of it from a bigger picture, to get to the truth. The same way you look the way the table bets, and the cards on the board.

Oilers turned down the counter offer. Not the draft pick alone.

Would lupul be a better fit he seems to score more consistently then perron.

I remember during that draft several sources saying he offered Gagner and 7th overall for Schneider and Canucks turned it down because they didn't want to play against Schneider in their division. The Oilers draft table was pissed when the Canucks traded him for the Devils 9th overall just so he would be in the east.

LeBrun tweeted something earlier today about Canucks asking for 1st round , 2nd round and Marincin but I doubt MacT would have even considered that considering how much he needed D prospects. And I never heard of this until he tweeted it this morning.
